What is it?
Gamescom 2019 is the biggest gaming convention in Europe, attracting both media and the public to come and trial the newest and most exciting video game titles.
Gamescom started in 2009 and is held every year at the Koelnmesse convention center in Cologne, Germany, usually in the latter part of August.
Opening Times
All times are in Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is one hour ahead of British Summer Time (BST)
The times for the show this year are as follows:
For public attendees
- Wednesday 22 August – 10 am to 8 pm (public halls only)
- Thursday 23 August – 10 am to 8 pm (public halls only)
- Friday 24 August – 9 am to 8 pm (public halls only)
- Saturday 25 August – 9 am to 8 pm (public halls only)
Tickets
Day tickets for the event on Saturday 25th August are already sold out, but there are still public admissions available for the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the online Gamescom ticket shop.
Exhibitors
The show is a great place for publishers and developers to follow up on their E3 announcements and share more information about freshly announced games, offering new trailers or demos of titles that were merely teased at E3 a few months earlier.
This year’s line-up includes:
• X BOX
• SONY
• NINTENDO
• EA GAMES
• UBISOFT
• CAPCOM
Aside from the big companies, there are various smaller developers and publishers exhibits at the event.
